Simon Weil was born in 1909 in a Paris suburb of Israeli parents, and in 1931 graduated from the Ecole Normale Superieure with a degree in philosophy. The holder of extensive learning and with the main focus on the human condition, she developed, alongside her writing activity, effective social action. Thus it is part of the labor union movement of Poiré, which began in 1932. Gifted with rare intelligence and ingenuity, he was concerned about the increasing domination of the bureaucratic machinery of the state in which he saw the danger of a new form of social oppression.
Although she grew up in an agnostic environment and experienced, philosophically and politically, a conscious revolutionary period, she humbly accepted the inner revelations that broadened her thinking. A refugee of war, first in Marseilles, then in New York, last in the ranks of the Free French in London, recorded accurately and with complete sincerity the human condition.
From that time on, she dates her particular deliberation on Greek thought and her strong intuitions for the mission of Greek contemplation.
